Junction of Gold Tops and Serpentine Road Newport
After crossing Serpentine Road, Gold Tops continues towards and beyond the church of St. Mark.
In such a tranquil Sunday afternoon setting, you could almost imagine that time had stood still. The church clock was certainly in agreement, as it showed the same time throughout my visit to Gold Tops.

Though very close to the centre of Newport, this tranquil scene of Gold Tops on a Sunday in August 2009 has almost a country village feel to it. The church of St Mark dominates the view looking east towards Serpentine Road.
