Eden Gate, 25 Hill Street, Newport
A charity with a Christian ethos, Eden Gate helps people who are vulnerable because they have no home or because they are trapped by drugs/alcohol (sometimes both). Eden Gate has a special relationship with Newport churches and their members which provides a channel whereby anybody who wants to help can volunteer and engage with those who need help.

Welsh language church in Newport city centre
Viewed across Hill Street from the corner of Talbot Lane. Shown on some maps as Mount Zion Church though in April 2020 the nameboard https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6445513 shows only the Welsh name Eglwys Annibynnol Mynydd Seion. It is also known in English as the Welsh Church - indicating it is (probably) the only Welsh-language church remaining in the city.
