The entrance on the left is on the corner of High Street and Market Street. The business's website states that Urban Tap House began in May 2015 as Urban Pop Up inside the adjacent Newport Market. The business reopened as the Urban Tap House here at 22-23 High Street in November 2015. Drinks available include Tiny Rebel beers.

High Street entrance to Newport Market
Viewed on August 7th 2020. The market which had been closed since late March 2020 during the nationwide Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic lockdown, reopened recently with reduced hours (9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday). Before the lockdown the market was usually open from about 7am. Bilingual signs shows that MARCHNAD is Welsh for MARKET.
