The former Post Office, High Street, Newport
The former Post Office (the building next to the building with the rounded front) of which the present day facade still exists was built in 1907. The Corn Exchange stood to the extreme right of the photo until it was demolished during redevelopment of the site in the 1970's or 80's The site where the rounded building now stands,was the Telephone Exchange from the 1940's to 1980's and was often referred to as the Savoy building, as it was built on the site of the old Savoy hotel

Market Arcade, Newport
Opened in 1869 and restored in 2021, this is Newport’s oldest surviving arcade, the second oldest in Wales and the 13th oldest in the UK. Funding for the restoration came from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. See https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/781357 for a picture in 2008. Grade II listed.
