STAY AT HOME times three, Newport city centre
Viewed on April 9th 2020. The poster on the side wall of the Coffee Shop in Upper Dock Street is opposite Market Square bus station during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. NHS Coronavirus avoidance advice - Wash your hands more often for 20 seconds - is on the right. The photographer is staying at home much more than usual. This visit to the city centre combined two allowed activities - daily exercise and shopping for essential food.

Work in progress on the new northern bus station, Newport
A mid-July 2013 view from Upper Dock Street. The shape of the nine bus bays can be seen behind the fencing. This bus station is scheduled to open later this year.Work has not yet begun on the bigger new southern bus station, part of the Friars Walk development.
