Reversed name sign on the former Royal Oak post office, Newport
Located on the wall above the shuttered doorway here. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5010529 The faint reversed text shows ROYAL OAK POST OFFICE & GENERAL STORE. I wondered why the sign was reversed when it would have been simpler to remove it. Did an optimist hope that the post office would reopen? Viewed in June 2016, more than a decade after the post office closed down.
