Reminder of CableTel on the Bilston Street pavement, Newport
The CableTel plate is on the pavement in front of this https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6396812 telecoms cabinet. CableTel was a telecoms provider dating from the early 1990s. CableTel later acquired NTL (National Transcommunications Limited) and kept the name NTL. After various later mergers and rebrandings, Virgin Media emerged in February 2007.
