Curious cows
I stopped at the gate here and chatted and scratched a few noses but I would have been licked and slobbered all over if I had hung about. I still can't fathom cattle herds after a lifetime of walking through fields containing them. Some are docile and you can walk right through them with them barely raising their heads. Other herds gallop at you from a field away like the Charge of the Heavy Brigade. Sometimes their age and breed type don't seem to have any determining factor and I tend to treat all half-ton, rock hard, fast moving lumps of horn, muscle and bone with the respect that they deserve.

Curious cows
This herd were very interested in me and cantered along their side of the hedge keen to engage me in a game of some sort. I'm glad that I was the right side of this hedge.
