Former Baptist Chapel, Caerleon
The plaque states '1764. REBUILT. 1821.', but it was also enlarged in 1825 and little remains of the original building. It is now 2 residential properties.

Corner of Castle Street and Castle Mews, Caerleon
The wall on the right was built in 1820 around some of the perimeter of the former Caerleon Castle. Only the ruins of one 13th century tower remain of the medieval stonework of the castle, built in the Norman period.

This mid-October view NE along Castle Street from the corner of High Street shows that the ivy on the wall has turned red. Tree foliage is mostly still green, with some browns, oranges and golds to be seen.

Former Baptist Church, Caerleon
This building was formerly The Baptist Church. In 1988 it was divided into two properties. Because the former church was located between numbers 6 and 7, numbers 6A and 6B were used. 6A is a private dwelling. 6B is the premises of Telynau Greville Harps, a traditional instrument maker specialising in 22-string and 18-string lap harps.
