Angiddy about 650 metres from the Wye in Tintern
Some references call the Angiddy a stream, others a river. Whichever it is, this view of a vigorous tributary of the River Wye in mid January 2014 is probably typical of its appearance during much of the very wet winter of 2013-2014.

Cherry Tree Inn, Tintern
Located in the Angiddy Valley, viewed in January 2014. The Friends of the Cherry Tree website reports that the current owners abandoned the inn on December 6th 2010 and moved to another pub a few miles away. An application to Monmouthshire County Council for 'Change of use from public house and alterations to form two dwellings' was submitted on April 28th 2011. The future of the Cherry Tree is uncertain...
