Alternating single lane of traffic alongside Chepstow Racehorse
Work on the construction of a new roundabout out of shot ahead requires the use of temporary traffic lights to control an alternating flow of traffic along a several hundred metres long section of the A466.
A line of cars on the left waits for the green light, which will be in a few seconds, as a group of vehicles heading in the opposite direction has just passed the camera.

Northern edge of Chepstow Racecourse car park
The car park, roughly 500 metres long by 100 metres wide, is on the west side of the A466, opposite the racecourse. Today, here has been a Sunday market, mainly in the racecourse itself, with a few stalls here, the northern edge of the car park. About an hour before the market's scheduled closing time of 4pm, a trader is loading items into a white van. In the background there is a mobile trailer selling fast food.
