A Misty Day at Six Bells
Looking down Six Bells Rd into the valley. The site of the old colliery is just off to the right. This is right in the NE corner of the grid square and the houses in the distance are the main village of Six Bells in SO2203

Info board at the old Six Bells Colliery site today
Just one of the several thought provoking and understated info boards sited around the Guardian of the Valleys statue which serves as a fitting monument to the mining disaster that occurred here in 1960.
Several of the men listed here were from the same families, some father and son, others brothers.
We will remember them.
