The Old Bridge, Irthlingborough
Crossing the River Nene near the Rushden and Diamonds football ground. I believe the pronunciaton is "Nen" for the river above Thrapston and "Neen" below or nearer Oundle.

The summer break from football has sapped the will to organise anything at Rushden and Diamonds football club if the notice board is to be believed. I'm sure there's lots going on really.

Irthlingborough Viaduct
The Irthlingborough Viaduct carries the A6 over the River Nene. It was built in 1936 because the foundations of the old 13th century bridge (seen in the background) were too unstable for motor traffic.
