Castle Ashby Rural Shopping Yard
The Castle Ashby Rural Shopping Yard is pretty much what it says - a collection of small shops around a courtyard. The contents of the shops are diverse and interesting. Worth popping in if you are nearby. I would assume that the buildings were originally part of the main Castle Ashby Estate (see Image]) and may well still be owned by it.

Sign, Castle Ashby Shopping Yard
A range of estate stables and farm outbuildings have been converted into a 'shopping yard', shrewdly presented as a dozen boutiques to cater for different tastes, rather than one large shop for visitors. This style of sign allows panels to be changed as required; a single sign would need repainting every time.
