Sixfields Hungry Horse, Northampton
I remember when Sixfields was just that - a collection of abandoned fields with scrub growing on them and overgrown hedgerows laden with cherry-plums. I once found a tortoise ambling along. Those were the days (in the 1950's) when every family had a tortoise - until it escaped. Some people tethered them with a string attached to a hole they had made in the shell. Aah - Sixfields!
