Grand Union Canal, Briar Hill
The Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal was built in 1815 connecting the main line at Gayton Junction with the River Nene at Northampton. This view is looking across the canal to Northampton's well-known lift testing tower, disused since the Express Lift works closed down.
