Railway sidings, Kettering, 1969
A mystery tour headed by "Flying Scotsman" heads towards Kettering station 79 minutes late, after starting from St. Pancras 53 minutes late. There was no snow down south, but still a murky day. These sidings are no more.

Platform extensions at Kettering railway station (1)
Looking towards London from the current south end of platform 1. All four platforms are being extended here; the extension to platforms 2 and 3 is in the centre of the picture. Support equipment for overhead electric wires has been erected, but the wires themselves have not yet been installed here.
