Reshaping the landscape: earthworks north of Kettering.
Work in progress on a new industrial warehouse zone at the north end of Kettering. For about six months, trucks have been shifting earth backwards and forwards, to prepare the ground for the building of more warehouses like the one at top left. Kettering is set to become a major distribution centre, being close to the A14 link between the A1 and the M1.

The former route of Weekley Wood Lane, which was abandoned after 1995 due to the construction of the A43 Kettering Northern Bypass. This is the point at which it used to meet the A6003, but the old junction has been stopped up with a mound of earth.
