Syresham's Folly?
This elaborate gate is totally isolated from any fence or other gate. I was tempted to use it just for the sake of it but decided against as that might have destroyed its pristine condition.

The Gate House
Designed by Charles Henry Biddulph Pincham 1920-5. He made use of some materials from earlier buildings on the site http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-234587-the-gate-house-syresham-northamptonshire#.Vm83wOKWMnA
Biddulph Pincham seems to have specialised in country houses. Among his other works are Stragglethorpe Hall Image and Upper Upham House Image
