Of greater interest are the two wall painted signs. The one on the left is slightly easier to read and is described thus

Art Deco building, Rushden
Built as a coach station for Birch's Coaches. With the station a few yards up the road and being directly on the A6 it was an ideal transport hub. All undone with railway closures and the rise of private motoring.http://www.countrybus.co.uk/independent/birch.htm

Now the home of the Rushden Historical Transport Society and Museum. Still runs trains on a short length of track.

Diesel locomotive 31 206 at rest in Rushden station
Rushden Transport Museum based at the former town station has a short running track of about half a mile on which rolling stock is operated on selected weekends.
As important is the fabulous real ale bar that forms part of the museum.
It is a recent CAMRA award winning location with many guest beers. My pint awaits on the picnic table.
