Although in a suburb of Nottingham, when conditions are right, from here you can see on the far horizon Brassington wind turbines, Alport Heights, Black Rock and Crich Stand.

Row of shops
This row of shops on Derby Road, Bramcote survived some uncertainty seven and a half years ago Image The left-hand three units are now occupied by a rising (and other orthopaedic) chair specialist (HSL), there's also a baby scan studio (never heard of that before!), a beauty salon and, on the far right, an opticians.

Doomed Row of Shops?
On Derby Road, Bramcote or Nottingham Road, Stapleford (It's difficult to know which!). Originally this row no doubt consisted of general shops but there's now no newsagent, grocer etc. here. The furthest three shops were a Video speciallist, mainly selling recording equipment and large screen televisions into the business market, then there was a vehicle hire firm and then closest there was another business the nature of which I never noticed.
They have all recently closed or moved and the builders (demolishers?) have moved in, what the fate of the site will be not yet known.
A visit to the Broxtowe Borough planning web site is required methinks.
