Business Centre Beeston
A rear view. Well before Siemens sold the entire British Ericsson site in 2007 it had ceased to be a single company area. Various buildings (blocks) were occupied by various firms of different types. The whole site had been labelled as "Beeston Business Park". In particular the two adjoining blocks to the north east (I and J blocks) had been split into small office / workshop units and rented-out to companies of one to ten or so employees with a relatively fast turnover of tenants. The latest name for this building is "Business Centre Beeston". As the whole site is redeveloped this will be the last of the units that will be demolished to go as it awaits the construction of a new building for the remaining tenants to be built before it goes.

In the Business Centre Beeston. The site has an illustrious history, including being the main design and manufacturing site for telephones and telephone exchanges in the days of the GPO.

Wasted north lights
The windows in this saw-tooth roof actually face more like north west. All the former workshops (now virtually entirely offices and the like) have suspended ceilings cutting out all that lovely defuse light that they collect so artificial light is permanently needed.

Doors to the Coffee Shop
Heading here for the last time. The company I work for moved out of the Business Centre on this day. Despite its name I've never got a coffee from here, but over the last nine years have bought many a sandwich. The proprietors of the shop will be packing up over the next couple of weeks as by the end of July all businesses will be out of the building; it remains to be seen how long it will be before it's demolished.
