Pollarded willows along the Beeston Canal
The sun was not in the best position for this shot but it makes an interesting comparison with Image taken before the Environment Agency work on the left which started in early 2010 and the pollarding of the willows on the right which was done today.

Several boats moored here
Looking south west we have several boats moored and at least one is occupied as smoke issues from the chimney.

Beeston Canal bank stripped bare
All the vegetation on the south bank of the canal between Turnover Bridge (from whence this was taken) to Beeston Lock has been cleared to ease the flood protection work being carried out for the Environment Agency. Compare with Image and Image After about six months we get Image
