Pedestrian crossing at Canning Circus
Unusually, pedestrians have two choices as to where they can cross at this crossing, either at the point where the main traffic lights are situated or at the twin crossings in the foreground. The latter only have signals relating to pedestrians, and look odd as a result.

The main path through Nottingham General Cemetery
Perhaps unusually, the cemetery is designated as a 'listed park or garden' (list entry 1001487), presumably because it forms part of public open space under the Enclosure Act of 1845. Originally opened in 1836 for Anglican burials only, it was extended for other burials in 1865. It was closed to new burials in 1923, handed over to the City Council in 1956, and neither of the mortuary chapels nor the east lodge survive.
