Abbey Bridge, Lenton
Looking east from near the junction with Coleby Avenue (left). Once part of the A453, Abbey Bridge now carries the A6005 over the former Midland Railway Leen Valley line between Lenton North and Radford Junctions.

Traffic queuing on Abbey Bridge
This is the result of single-line working through the junction at Lenton Lane, almost at the far end of the road visible here, due to tramway construction. The long intervals between phases means that traffic even on a Sunday was building back to the roundabout at the east end of the bridge.

Lenton Lane closed
This is to allow construction of tracks across the bridge. It is unclear why the opportunity was not taken to lay tracks when the bridge was closed for refurbishment earlier in the works.
Pedestrian routes are maintained throughout the works.
