Changing streetscape of Triumph Road
Until recently this section of Triumph Road was still lined with buildings from the 1930s when the road was first built. In the foreground is the new Power Engineering building of the university, with a tall block of student flats in the rear.

Recently demolished buildings on Triumph Road
Two buildings have just been demolished: Woolpack House on the left, and Carlton Furniture on the right. Carlton Furniture are retaining buildings and a service yard to the rear of the site. Woolpack House has been owned by the University of Nottingham for several years, so this may be in preparation for more university building.
