The former Raleigh Cycles Offices
The grand frontage on Lenton Boulevard was designed by T Cecil Howitt, who was the architect of the Council House, Home Brewery in Daybrook, The Newton Building of Nottingham Trent University and many other buildings in the city. The bronze panels between the ground- and first-floor windows depict naked cherubs operating lathes, drills and other machinery in defiance of health-and-safety guidelines - see Alan Murray-Rust's Image The building is now named after Howitt, houses small businesses and is managed by the City Council.
