Nottingham - NG7 (Park)
The commencement of a footpath that links Harlaxton Drive with Pelham Crescent. As Harlaxton Drive is not part of the Park Estate perhaps this represents an attempt to maintain a notional "secure perimeter". A notice on the side of the gate in the distance declares that the gate is closed and locked between 11.00pm - 7.00am, although perhaps, as with the other gates, this is only happens occasionally ?

Nottingham - NG7 (Park)
The Pelham Crescent end of a footpath that links Harlaxton Drive with the former. Harlaxton Drive is not part of the Park Estate and so perhaps this represents an attempt to maintain a notional "secure perimeter". Rolleston Drive, Lenton
The streets on the south side of Derby Road were developed slightly later than their counterparts on the northern side, and for a slightly more affluent clientele.

Harrington Drive, off Derby Road
The houses are modern additions to what is otherwise an essentially early 20th century street. There is a bench mark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3845546 to the left of the black gatepost.

Nottingham Vista
View taken from ward D55 (Coronary Care Unit) on the 3rd floor of the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, 4 days after my heart attack. The long brick building with a disused clock tower on the middle left is, according to one of the nurses on the ward, the old Bell Fruits factory, where old-style fruit machine used to be made (now converted into flats).
