Nottingham - NG7 (Park)
The commencement of a footpath that links Harlaxton Drive with Pelham Crescent. As Harlaxton Drive is not part of the Park Estate perhaps this represents an attempt to maintain a notional "secure perimeter". A notice on the side of the gate in the distance declares that the gate is closed and locked between 11.00pm - 7.00am, although perhaps, as with the other gates, this is only happens occasionally ?

It was the coldest August day for forty years, and a wet one. A ghostly Wollaton Hall, two miles to the west, is on the skyline of this zoom shot over the wooded avenues of The Park.
