The Pelham Crescent end of a footpath that links Harlaxton Drive with the former. Harlaxton Drive is not part of the Park Estate and so perhaps this represents an attempt to maintain a notional "secure perimeter". A notice on the side of the gate declares that the gate is closed and locked between 11.00pm - 7.00am, although as with other gates on the estate, this only happens occasionally ?
