Corner shop, Henrietta Street
The original business must have been quite affluent to afford the terracotta facing on the upper storey. Note also the fading advert for the Guardian Journal (nothing to do with today's Guardian newspaper) on the adjoining newsagent's.

Bulwell Library (1)
Inscribed over the main entrance: NOTTINGHAM PUBLIC LIBRARIES NORTHERN BRANCH but always known as Bulwell Library. Built in 1923, it is one of a comprehensive chain of branch libraries throughout the City.

Bulwell: St Mary and All Souls
The church - seen from the station footbridge on a wet afternoon - dates from 1849-50. Designed by H I Stevens of Derby, it is built, appropriately, of Bulwell stone.
