Ramsey Drive
The east side of the north end of Ramsey Drive remained open ground for a long time after the main development was complete but has been relatively recently filled in with large houses, the most prominent feature of which appears to be the 2 or 3 car garages.

The area was developed after England's Football World Cup victory in 1966. Most roads are named after the members of the England squad, with the main road named after the team manager, Alf Ramsey.

One of many cul de sacs on Plains Estate to be named after famous sportspersons, in this case Fred Stolle, an Australian tennis player who won several Grand Slam titles in the 1960s, primarily in doubles.
