Former Futurist Cinema
Since closing as a cinema this building has had a variety of uses but now stands unused. What is to become of it? The cinema opened on July 26, 1937 and seated 1,294 including 220 in the balcony. It closed in March 1976 but reopened its balcony as a trial later that year. This was short lived and the final screening was the Sound of Music on August 13, 1977.

British Trolleybuses - Nottingham
This was the terminus of the final trolleybus route (36) in Nottingham, which ceased operating finally on July 1st 1966. 50 years later, the event was commemorated by painting a modern bus in the green and cream livery of the period http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5053802.

The Futurist, Basford
A former cinema that is something of a local landmark, this building's current usage is unknown to me. It fronts onto Valley Road (part of Nottingham's outer ring road) close to its junction with Nottingham Road, and lends its name to the bus stops on Valley Road close to this point.

Lime Tree and Futurist Detail
There must be a name for this type of feature seen often on art-deco buildings (particularly cinemas), but I don't know it.
