The junction of Spring Lane and Hartland Drive
The recent development of housing on the left hand side has resulted in a proposal to reduce the speed limit along a section of Spring Lane from 40 to 30 mph. The notices refer to the end of the limit as being 17 metres east of the centre of the junction with Hartland Drive. My pacing put this on the near end of the pedestrian island.

Grazing cattle, Gedling Country Park
Small numbers of cattle graze the open areas of the Country Park during the winter period to prevent these areas being overtaken by scrub woodland and thus to retain a diversity of habitat. The numbers are kept low to avoid over-grazing.
