The junction of Spring Lane and Hartland Drive
The recent development of housing on the left hand side has resulted in a proposal to reduce the speed limit along a section of Spring Lane from 40 to 30 mph. The notices refer to the end of the limit as being 17 metres east of the centre of the junction with Hartland Drive. My pacing put this on the near end of the pedestrian island.

No.4. English elm – Ulmus procera. See https://www.gedlingcountrypark.org.uk/british-native-tree-trail.html . No sign of a specimen here; it's not clear whether it has come and gone or has not yet been planted. (Previously there were labels attached to the markers where the latter is the case.)
