Former Railway Goods Shed, Heckington
Typical design of goods shed. Originally, there would have been two doors both ends, one of which was used for rail traffic and the other for road traffic. The two were usually separated by a platform at a height where transfer of goods meant little in the way of lifting. Some sheds had a hoist/crane for lifting the heavier objects.
