Richard Winn's grave
Local carver Richard Winn left his mark with numerous carvings around Ruskington, including the two monkeys http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/702784 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/702792 on the Black Bull Inn http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/166176 . He had the dubious privilege of carving his own headstone before he died on January 20th 1912 aged 88.

Eagle House was built in 1857 for the Patterson family whose construction company built stations and other railway buildings

The Black Bull
The Black Bull Inn on Rectory Road has two carved stone monkeys either side of the main entrance, by stone carver Richard Winn who lodged here in 1871. His work can be seen around the village of Ruskington and his self-made tombstone can be found in a corner of the cemetery.
