Another view of the splendid house seen in Image It is of very recent construction. The gate pillar bears the unusual name "Venduvas", perhaps a reference to the Roman archaeology of the area.

Wooden bollard
The village is looking very tidy, very affluent, these days. Among the recent improvements are these sturdy wooden bollards, no doubt intended to keep people visiting the village from parking on the verge. They are provided with bicolour reflective strips. They can be seen in situ in Image
