Where once the diner stood
The A1 Stadium Diner (Image) had been cleared away and this new building is going up. It will house a reborn Diner when completed.

A1 truckstop
Voted the No. 1 truckstop in the UK, according to the trade journal pages displayed inside, this was once one of those stainless American style 'diners'. It has been extended several times since, but the original diner can be seen in the form of the windows and the panels below them. This is the catering facility for the overnight truck stop at the junction of the A151 and the A1, as seen in Image

Not carrying animals
Carrying the name of Nigel Roe Transport of Consett, this lorry is extravagently decorated with Jungle Book motifs. The lorry, a DAF-XF, was given this livery from new by the previous owner, David G Davies of Glossop.

Large lorries can fill with diesel, and park overnight at the Colsterworth truck stop. There are not many truckstops around the UK and this one is well known and well frequented.
