Great Ponton from the parish church
The snake-like road works its way into the village centre. This woody pastoral scene may surprise some, it being in Lincolnshire and moreover, less than a 1/4 of a mile from the busy A1.

Rabbit damage on plantation trees
Numerous trees have suffered from the gnawing teeth of rabbits. Although there is a small mesh fence all round the plantation, the blighters have managed to get in at the bottom - and gnaw at particular tree species, from the 14 varieties that have been planted.
