The Dower House at Irnham, near Bourne, Lincolnshire
Although Irnham Hall dates from the 16th century, most of the surrounding stone properties enlivened by much leafage are not so old such as the embattled Dower House which dominates the main street through the village and despite its period charm was built 200 years later.
