Never big enough
This is Ingoldsby Primary school. There is evidence in this picture of many different phases of building: The brick Victorian building has doubled in size, a 1960s flat-roofed extension on the left with the blue panels below the windows. To the right a later brick flat-roofed section, and two different types of temporary buildings. The slate roofed central building dates to 1877; the matching extension on the front to 2003. More building work is planned. In 2011 the roll was 86, little different from the Victorian days, but now drawn from many villages.

Ingoldsby primary school
Part way between Ingoldsby and Lenton is the Primary school. This one is that increasing rarity: a county school. Not a free school, an academy, nor a church school.
