The Pond
At the junction of the aptly named Pond Street and High Street. A plaque commemorates the now dried up pond. There was a tradition for gathering mud and stones from here and pelting the church clock with them.

The Recruiting Sergeant, High Street
At one point the sign outside displayed a WW1 Sergeant ready to pay 'The King's Shilling'. The actual office was however over the road in Green Street.

10 and 8 Green Street
Despite looking old these two houses where built in 2007 on the site of the former bus depot. Some of the original bricks have been reused giving the buildings a slightly aged appearance.
