At one point the sign outside displayed a WW1 Sergeant ready to pay 'The King's Shilling'. The actual office was however over the road in Green Street.

Built in 1930 as a Co-op. Situated at the junction of Long Lane and the High Street.

Green Street, Primitive Methodist Church
A wonderful example of a Victorian red bricked nonconformist church. Just visible on the door pillar is a white notice. Not as one would normally expect, a planning application. But a request asking dog owners not to let the pets mess in the doorway.
