Nottingham - NG2 (Wilford Area)
A disused section of road on the former Rushcliffe Council municipal waste tip off Rugby Road. Once filled the area was levelled off and covered, partly by ash from the Ratcliffe-on-Soar coal-fired power station, and it is currently open meadow land, albeit semi-permanently under threat of being built upon. A corner of Rushcliffe Arena, an indoor sports and recreation facility, is also visible.

Christmas Day in West Bridgford
The peaceful and quiet atmosphere outside under a grey sky was broken only by the excited shouts and squeals of my three young grandsons as I took this shot from the doorway of their house at about 12.30pm on Christmas Day.

West Bridgford: re-routing a path
The existing path (on the other side of the Heras fencing on the right) runs from Rugby Road to Wilford Lane (ahead), skirting the former playing fields which are being built on and will be known as Wilford Fields. Some of the half-built houses show on the skyline.
