The City Ground
The Main Stand, on the Pavilion Road side of Nottingham Forest's ground, is the oldest and smallest of the stands. The dates on the single-storey offices are those of the Reds' trophy-winning years, beginning with the FA Cup wins of 1898 and 1959 and including the European Cup wins of 1979 and 1980 when Brian Clough was manager.

City Ground, Nottingham
Nottingham Forest's City Ground lies across the River Trent from Notts County's Meadow Lane and so, despite its name is outside the city boundary. In the glory days when Brian Clough managed the Reds, visiting his near neighbours was not a problem as it was said he could walk on water. His inspirational management skills would have been invaluable in this pre season friendly against Middlesbrough but defeat for Forest in this match set the trend for the following season and they were relegated at the end of the 2004/5 season.
