The modern forecourt that has replaced the street on which Notintone Place was located. William Booth was born at No. 12 (the middle house) on 10th April 1829. Although surrounding houses were demolished in the late 60s, these original houses (Nos.10,12 & 14), were retained and restored. Originally only No.12 constituted the museum but more recently the properties on either side of it have been incorporated to provide larger premises. To the left of the picture is the edge of a modern building that houses a day centre, a children's nursery and a nursing home.
