Maintenance boat on the River Trent
Heading upstream from the Canal and River Trust base in Newark. The boat was built by Richard Dunston Ltd of Thorne, Yorkshire in 1963. The crane is a Ruston Bucyrus model, and is an interesting piece of equipment in its own right.

Busy on the River Trent
An interesting array of craft. The shot is taken from The Leicester Trader, a preserved barge which spent its working life on the River Trent. Approaching is a maintenance vessel of the Canals and Rivers Trust, followed by a broad-beam cruiser and a narrowboat. Heading away downstream is the Newark Crusader, operated by St John Ambulance Waterwing providing river trips with the disabled, elderly and people with special needs specifically catered for. http://www.sja.org.uk/sja/what-we-do/community-projects/st-john-ambulance-waterwing.aspx
