Plant Crossing
Hawton Lane looking south east where the new A46 will cross. The lane will cross the new road on an overbridge. The traffic lights are for use when there is a lot of heavy plant movement.

Signpost
At the junction of Hawton Lane with the road to Thorpe. It clearly will not survive the reconstruction of the junction as part of the A46 improvements.

A46 improvement near Farndon
Looking towards Newark from Hawton Lane. The new road is embanked here on the approach to the roundabout at Farndon because this is floodplain (although only affected by the highest floods). In the distance is the fine spire of Newark Church.
