The last remains of the Warburton Hotel
The Warburton Hotel was described by Pevsner in his first edition of The Buildings of England : Nottinghamshire as "unusually self-confident (four bays only, but two of them with giant pilasters and a pediment c1700; the back earlier with curved Dutch gable)." Sadly the building was demolished in the 1960s. This rusticated corner is all that remains.
